Looking back, I think that I have always been intrigued by human behavior, the nature of suffering & finding answers to life’s deeper questions. Throughout my adult life I’ve had a sense of looking for something but not really knowing what. I studied psychology, and that wasn’t it! I’ve had the great privilege to be the mother of three children who have been truly amazing teachers on my path and challenged my beliefs and assumptions in the most unexpected ways.
My ‘seeking’ intensified around the age of 40 and I found myself reading literature from all spiritual disciplines. At the same time I undertook counsellor training & through my counselling work, my personal counselling and other self-development opportunities, I recognised that beneath the surface issues, we’re all asking the same question- ‘who am I?’. And then, one hot July day in 2008, I and a group of friends arrived at Zelia’s tipi in the woods for our first Shamanic Trance Dance. I had no idea what to expect, but was open-minded & I had an indescribably profound experience. This was it! I realised that I had been seeking on an intellectual level, but now I had discovered direct and intensely personal experience of The Great Mystery .
Since then I have taken every opportunity to Shamanic Trance Dance, monthly rituals in Glastonbury, personal and Medicine Wheel retreats, & dancing with the Clan Mothers (another series of Zelia’s workshops) as well as receiving the Munay Ki rites. These experiences have given me deep insight, understanding and healing on all areas of life I’ve chosen to focus on, and my journey continues.
I believe passionately that whatever our circumstances or history, we have the capacity to heal, learn & grow towards greater authenticity and love, and Shamanic Trance Dance is an amazing tool to facilitate this. I am honoured and excited to take Zelia’s wonderful teachings forward to offer you the transformational experience of Shamanic Trance Dance.
A deep personal healing journey led me on a shamanic path as I connected to dreamtime visions which led me to heal myself and train with shamans in Peru and Mexico.
My journey opened more when I began to go to Shamanic Trance Dance with Zelia. Through deeper healing of and reconnecting to my true self through this work. I was inspired through visions to create a temple where people can journey to connect to the spirit on Mother Earth, the Four Directions, The Star Nations and Great Spirit, this dream is coming alive and I welcome those who feel in their hearts to come x thank you
Lindsey began working with Zelia in 2012 discovering the powerful doorway Shamanic Trance Dance offers into integrating and deepening her own intense spiritual journey. She has participated in the 13 Moon cycle of Shamanic Trance Dances and later journeying into the medicine of the 13 original Clan Mothers. She has also participated in the Medicine Wheel and undertaken the Munay-Ki Rites, as well as 1:1 Soul Retrieval and healing work. In 2015, Lindsey participated in the Guide and Guardian training to enable her to offer Shamanic Trance Dance, and she is now beginning to hold dances in Mid and East Devon.
Lindsey draws on many traditions, valuing the wisdom and medicine of those who have walked this path before. She finds resonance in Native American traditions, and also in her own Celtic roots and traditions.
She feels a profound connection with the land, and this suffuses her work, together with the support of the medicine wheel.
Lindsey meditates, journeys, dances, drums and makes art. She has worked as a therapist for over a decade. She and her partner are the stewards of a woodland project in East Devon, where she has a woodland sanctuary. She is concerned with what connects us, within, between and beyond ourselves. She has a commitment to working in community to support a shift in consciousness, and the creation of new social paradigms that are Love-based, rather than Fear-based. She also offers holistic talking therapy.
